HAND KNOTTED RUGS
Hand knotted rugs are made on a specially designed loom and are knotted by hand. They are one-of-a-kind rug that is woven completely by hand. The making of these rugs deserves alot of admiration. Knots are inserted into the foundation and are tied by the rug weaver.

HAND TUFTED RUGS
A hand-tufted rug is created by a weaver and not on a weaving or looming machine. It is made by punching strands of wool into a canvas that is stretched on a frame with the help of a hand-operated tool. It This does not require the similar level of skill that hand-knotting does.

MACHINE MADE RUGS
Machine made rugs are made by large machines called power looms. The border or fringe on a rug helps to determine its type as well. On a machine made rug, the fringe is usually sewn at the end to give it a final touch. The fringes help to give them a handmade-rug look upto a great extent. While the fringes of Hand-made rugs are made from the warp threads of handmade rugs. These are an extension of the carpet’s warp and are not be sewn onto the carpet later on.
