In our day-to-day life, when something provides comfort to us like the car in which we feel safe like a home, like the mobile phone which keep us connected to our loved ones, like the clothes that keep us warm, like furniture that amplifies the beauty of our homes or the rug that provides comfort and coziness underneath our feet - Have you ever given a thought that many efforts were involved behind all of these for them to finally reach your dwelling.
Today, We at Home decor fine rugs want to draw the attention towards the umpteen number of efforts and are put behind a single rug so that it can perfectly fit your more than perfect homes.
The artists, designers, weavers, dyers and
all those involved in the making of a rug are already acquainted with each other, or they might make a contract when they first begin to design one. With every single rug, they put in ample amount of efforts, they invest their emotions and make it look lively and beautiful. Once completed, it looks a piece of art ready to be placed in your abode.
DESIGNERS
The making of a rug begins with an idea. Before even using a single thread, the designers create a concept and decide the design for the rug. The designers or the artists insinuate the ideas from a sketch, to a computer aided drawing and finally to a lively rug that complete transforms the beauty of any space. This computer aided sketch helps the weaver to identify the pattern of the rug, and which color each knot should be in. A number of details like the colors to be used, their ratio, number of knots, and the technique to be used are ascertained to communicate to a group of weavers the desired effect. Once all this is done, the designs are ready for weaving.
CRAFTERS
Once the artists are done with the design, they begin with crafting the design of the rug that is spinning of the yarn. The yarn spinning process is repeated until the yarn becomes twisted and fairly strong. The, the yarn is washed in clean water to remove all remnants of dust and waste. After drying it, the required amount of yarn is delivered to the factories.
DYERS
Dyeing the yarn is the next step. According to one of the traditional way, the yarn is stretched across the poles, which are laid on the edges of a large round vessel. Now the yarn is repeatedly submerged into the dye to ensure the color is even. After this, there is the wheeling of the yarn into hot tubs. To dye larger volumes of yarns, electrical vats are used. Once dyed, the yarns are steamed, washed and dried in the sunlight.
Once the yarn is ready, it is rolled up into large balls and sent to the weavers.
WEAVERS
The hand-knotting process can leave you awestruck. You will not be able to bar yourself from looking at the rhythmic movement of the weaver’s fingers. Knot by knot and inch by inch, the weaver meticulously completes the pattern of the rug. An experienced weaver can tie one thousand knots per hour and one knot every two seconds.
Hand-knotting is the most intricate weaving process, which requires good hand-eye coordination. There is a distinct artistic harmony to this skill of hand knotting, which binds the soul of the weaver to the rug. This is why each rug holds an individuality that is difficult to reproduce ever again.
WASHERS
The finished carpet is taken off from the loom so that the designs and the patterns can be trimmed using scissors. Lastly, the carpet is washed to remove impurities picked up during the creation process, dirt or any surplus dye.
